Match Preview
High-flying Torino will try win against Atalanta and keep up the
pace for a place in Europe next. Granata have recorded five wins in their last
eight games to occupy seventh place in the league.. A winless run between last
September and November had threatened to derail Toro’s campaign, but it looks
like they are back on track. Alessio Cerci and Ciro Immobile are playing brilliantly
and coach Giampiero Ventura knows, that he can count on them. Immobile can establish
himself in Cesare Prandelli’s mind before the World Cup if he continue scoring goals.
Atalanta remain in a uncertainty. Stefano Colantuono side striked
back from harsh back-to-back defeats to Juventus and Milan with wins against
Catania and Cagliari. They last showcased incredible stomach and grit to stick
out intense Sardinian pressure and win 1-0. “We suffered for these three
points. In the first half Cagliari deserved to score, but football rewards
those who get the ball in the net,” noted Colantuono. He knows that team need
stability and more goals.
